Assoc. Prof. Dr. Numyoot Songthanapitak, the president of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), on behalf of the president of the Council of University Presidents of Rajamangala Universities, personally said that the issue of changing new semester open, matching with international educational system, stated by the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT), should be set as national policy, not managed only one office. Informing it without consulting with the other involved organizations will cause confusion for foreign country, seeing Thailand has many educational systems and confusion for parents and students.
Postponing new semester must certainly be issued as Thai overall policy because CUPT is only a division which others do not have to follow. If there is need to change the system, the Office of the Basic Education Commission of Thailand (OBEC), will also be able to agree with since it does not cause any many negative effects to studying system including entrance examination. However, how to benefit time by the students while waiting for the new semester is needed to be considered, said by Dr. Chinnapat Bhumirat, the Secretary-General of the Office of Basic Education Commission.
