Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, President of RMUTT, together with Surapon Utintu, Executive Director of the Office of External Coordination of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, Ms. Suporn Denpaisarn. Vice President Marketing at Thai Drinks Company Limited.
Mr. Somporn Chai-Bangyang, President of Thailand Volleyball Association, Ms. Pleumjit Thinkaow and Ms. Malika Kanthong, Thailand’s former national volleyball players as Sport idols, held a press conference on July 7th, 2022 at Metawee Conference Room on the 5th Floor of RMUTT’s Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology.
RMUTT President, Dr. Sommai expressed his gratitude to the occasion of hosting Est Cola Volleyball U Champion Cup 2022, “As representative of RMUTT, we, RMUTT, are honored to host this prestigious vocational education volleyball tournament. After the outbreak of Covid-19, the competitions were asked to suspend but right now we are ready. So as our facilities and accommodations. Hopefully we could bring out the best in each young talented volleyball player during the tournament. We would like to invite those university students who are interested in volleyball, join us and support our young competitors. No matter how the results turn out to be in each team, friendship and sportsmanship are most important.
Ms. Pleumjit Thinkaow as sport ambassador further added, “I am really glad that this tournament was held since all our young players need a place to show off their skills. Back in the days, it is quite rare for us to find a good tournament like this. If I could say something to these young players, I would say that keeping working hard and enjoy volleyball. Always believe in yourself that you will be successful if you work hard enough. You will get your fame and money to take care of yourself.”
“Est Cola Volleyball U Champion Cup 2022” volleyball tournament” is due from July 9-18, 2022, at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. Thirteen teams from higher vocational institutions, 7 teams for men and 10 teams for women will be competing for a tournament prize money of 800,000 baht. For men’s competition, Pool A comprises of Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, Rangsit University, and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, while Pool B features Southeast Asia University, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, and Kasetsart University. For women’s contest, Pool A comprises of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Bangkok University, Dhurakij Pundit University, Rajapruk University, RBAC University, while Pool B features Rangsit University, Thammasat University, Kasetsart University, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, and Sripatum University.
