Tourist attraction in Thailand: ‘Phu Kradueng’

06/08/2021The main mountain Khao Khao where the national park is named after comprises a variety of small and large mountains in the Phetchabun range, located in Northern region of Thailand, Petchaburi’s Khao Kho district. Chilly temperatures throughout the year even in summer with an average temperature of 18-25°C and unbeatable scenic views have made Khao Kho one of the most famous tourist attractions in Phetchabun province. Many tourist attractions lie in this beautiful region nestled in the lofty mountain range with the highest peak called 1,300-meter-high “Khao Pa Daeng” while “Khao Ya” with about 1,290 meters high above the sea level is the venue of Khao Kho Royal Palace located on top of the mountain. At the summit of Khao Kho, which is the highest point of 1,174 meters high above the sea level is a Khao Kho Memorial. Not so far away from Bangkok, the place is popular for its cooler weather, morning mist covering surrounding valleys, impressive viewpoints, and number of other attractions. Khao Kho was named after the noteworthy Palmae plant, similar to the Asian Palmyra, can sometimes also be spotted here, bearing fruits in bunches like betel nuts and are abundant in the Evergreen and Coniferous area. Unfortunately, it is quite rare to find now due to the deforestation. All in All, Khao Kho is filled with rich biodiversity of both plant and animal and fruitful natural resource and beautiful landscape, an ideal site for the tour, including waterfall, cave, cliff, viewpoint of Ratanai Reservoir, and other historical sites near government offices.
