RMUTT to Make Up Intensive Science and Math Lessons for Vocational College Students

Assist. Prof. Dr. Panpetch Chinintorn, vice president of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), said RMUTT has  collaborated with King  Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) to fullfil basic knowledge in the field of science and mathematics to Science-Based Technology Vocational College (Chonburi) in the level of vocational certificate, program of science-based industrial trades. This collaboration is established according to the policy of establishing navigating science-based technology school that is the MOU project between Office of Vocational Education Commission and Ministry of Science and Technology to develop vocational colleges’ students to have more knowledge in science and mathematics equivalent to high schools’ students. Moreover, Ministry of Science and Technology wishes to expand the outcomes in other fields such as tourism, industry, agriculture, hotel, and food fields. For the food field, RMUTT has taken Singhaburi Vocational College to be in charge of taking care of vocational certificate students. RMUTT will help this college to be a science-based college and will develop their personnel, curriculums, and academic purposes. After their students finish their class, they will receive the certificate of food science. If this prototype project becomes successful, we will expand our projects in other colleges later on.
