24/07/2022Commenting on record numbers of students applying into RMUTT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) said, “This year 2022, there are a total number of 6,043 student applications to RMUTT. Almost 3,843 students preferred to choose engineering discipline followed by 3,432 students in business, 3,214 students in Liberal Arts, 2,415 students in Nursing, 1,799 students in Mass Communication Technology.
On average students competing seats available in Nursing had the highest ratio of 1:24, 1 to 11 for Liberal Arts in Physical Education, 1 to 10 for Liberal Arts in Aviation Industry, 1 :10 for Liberal Arts in English for Communication, 1:9 in Architecture.
The President continued, “With high number of students who were interested in applying for engineering, we are sure that it was resulted from the good quality of our instruction; however, the increasing number of students who are interested in heath science, Nursing in particular. This may result from the current pandemic, I believe. For physical education, more students are acquainted with sports education and of course, there are also more career opportunities for the discipline including sport center executives, sports trainers, sport delegations, sports entrepreneurs etc.
We truly believe the Covid 19 situation is getting better so as the aviation industry. Students who choose to study in the field will get their career going with of course, the support from the government measures and regulations.
