Team Phoebe, the winners of the 2nd AOAC Contest: Microbiological Proficiency Test, comprised Ms. Chanyawee Kaenranya, Ms. Choltida Kampalanont, and Ms. Siriluck Thongkaew from the Division of Biology, Faculty of Science and Technology at RMUTT. The 2nd AOAC Contest was organized by AOAC International: Thailand Section, in collaboration with the National Food Institute (NFI), Ministry of Industry, Innolab magazine, 3M, bioMérieux, Eppendorf, government agencies, and other organizations. A total of 46 teams made up of third and fourth year university students from 20 universities that offered Microbiology courses, participated in the contest. The contest structure included practical skills, in terms of microbiological proficiency testing, and theoretical skills, through presenting testing results and answering questions. Both students and advisors from RMUTT participated in the award ceremony and received THB 12,000 in cash and a plaque for RMUTT at Thailand Lab International 2016 held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC).
