Mr. Pongpit Tuanpusa, the director of the Office of Academic Resource and Information Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), said “according to the data collected by huge numbers of students who entered the main library, it is found that there is a jump increase from last 4 years from 360,000 to 750,000 people or equal to 100%. The giant increase of this result was because the library had developed its environment and expanded the offered services such as IT zone, Discussion Rooms and others, leading most of students always come to utilize these facilities especially during the examination period. Moreover, this also happened because there were more offering of the Master’s and Doctor’s Degree programs. Therefore, the library now has a policy to expand its services and reading corners specifically for these groups of students, including extending the time from 18.00 – 21.00 o’clock on Saturday and Sunday.”
He added that “Associate Professor Dr. Numyoot Songthanapitak, the president of the University had given the policy to provide more E-Book service also.”
