Moo Yor or pork sausage is a popular product in northern and northeastern region of Thailand which it is easily to find out and bring for cooking. According to many kinds of Moo Yor, Act. Second Lieutenant , 2Lt Srinakorn Supacode, a student in the fourth year, majored in Food and Nutrition, Faculty of Home Economics Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, RMUTT, created Moo Yor with sweet basil or pork sausage with sweet basil which has good smell and fulfilled with nutrition and medicinal combination, advised by Asst. Porf. Suchada Ngamprapawat.
Act. Second Lieutenant , 2Lt Srinakorn told that some general Moo Yor comprises with only general pork. In order to increase its value, Moo Yor with sweet basil has been created. With this, consumers can also have medical benefits including the full food nutrition. Especially, children who do not like to eat the sweet basil, can have it through this product.
The ingredient for making 5 packages of Moo Yor with weight comprises with Pork hip 500g, Pork lard 10g, sweet basil 50g, cassava powder 100g, salt 3g, spun pepper 4g, Sodium tripolyphosphate 1.2g and ice 75g.
The method of making this starts from:
- Clean the pork and cut it with the dice shape
- Spin pork, pork lard and ice until they are sticky, after that, put the salt, spun pepper, Sodium tripolyphosphate , water, sweet basil, and continue spinning for 15 minutes until they become one.
- Finally, bring spun Moo Yor, wrap with banana leaf, tie it and stream for 30 minutes. Now, there will be Moo Yor with sweet basil which is ready to cook.
