01/09/2011Assistant Professor Dr.Panpetch Chininthorn, the vice president of Rajamagala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) said that “this July 31, the university will organize the meeting to meet the networking schools in order to discuss about the student admission under the quota system for the students who are graduating both in the high school and vocational education level around the country. At this time, the university has set the target to receive new students around 3,000 persons or equal to 50 per cent of overall student admission in each year. The students will be mainly considered about their studying results for their admission and they can choose to study 80 available majors. However, if their studying results cannot meet the set criteria, they will be offered the next preferred courses under their lists. For last year, the university admitted 1,600 students from the quota system.”
The vice president also said that “this networking school meeting is aimed at creating understandings for the schools about the admission criteria in quota system. Here, the schools will be provided about the faculty information given by the invited faculty staffs so that the school representatives will be able to recommend their students. Moreover, the University will also invite the alumni representatives to talk about their successful experiences. This includes invitation to the students who admitted under the quota system to talk about the University lives and environment too. The other non-networking schools who would like to join the meeting can also participate, but it is needed to contact with the University (the Department of Student Development: Tel 0-2549-3025-6). For quota request, the process must be completed within this August 31st. ”

Students mostly are found to study in the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Home Economics Technology. These students will be able to graduate within two years or not depends upon their attempt, but most of them, I have found, have put high effort in thier studying.
