Top-class! RMUTT sweeps 14 Major Awards from International Research Competition

      Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pinprathomtharat, Rector of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) reveals that lecturers and students of the university are to submit researches and inventions in order to participate in academic conferences and international researches at the 10th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI) and the 3rd World Invention and Innovation Forum (IEIF) (IEI & WIIF 2018) in Foshan, The People’s Republic of China. As a result, both research lecturers and students are able to win a large number of awards, a total of 14 awards, where of 5 gold medals are from the “Small Size Stingless Bee Nesting for Commercial Honey Production” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Anchalee Sawattham, Faculty of Agricultural Technology. “Stained Glass Products with Thai Tradition, Wai and Songkran Festival Patterns” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panchatch In-khong, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts. “Design and Development of Pae Kang Fish Scale” by Mr. Boontavee Pankid, Mr. Chayanon Phannoi, Mr. Wongthorn Deeiam, Mr. Thanakrit Chanthasarn and the advisor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Pansakul, Faculty of Engineering, which also won the Special Awards from Indonesia 7 (INNOPA). “The Production of Plywood from Cassava Trees” by Mr. Thitikorn Wonglue and the advisor Dr. Supa Chulakupta, Faculty of Home Economics Technology, which also receive Special Award from the Egypt Council of Innovations and the Gold Medal of the Philippine Gold Award for Invention from the Philippines.
The 5 silver medals are the work of Plastic Tanks from plastic waste by Dr. Narongchai Ocharoen, Faculty of Engineering, which also won the special awards from India as well. Orange Pork and Red Yeast Rice by Asst. Prof. Dr. Lalak Sathienrat, Faculty of Home Economics Technology. Acute Toxicity of Crude Extracts from the Genus Pepper and Mullilam against Pest, Beet Armyworm by Ms. Cholrat Chuchong, Mr. Thiraphong Thongbut, MD. S. Waraporn Pengsen and advisor, Dr. Natthaya Khamsarang, Faculty of Science and Technology. Cosmetic product innovation from Gros Michel banana for community enterprise by Ms. Sivapriya Nakarun, Ms. Merida Chaiyes, Ms. Onanong Kongtong and advisorm Dr. Chanai Noiseng, Thai Traditional Medical College, which also won special awards from Malaysia. The Biocomplex Healthy Yoghurt by Ms. Piyathida Chanapal, Mr. Sareerat Rattanadilok Na Phuket, Ms. Thitima Sangkaew and advisor Dr. Surachai Techa-ei, Thai Traditional Medical College. This is yet another pride for university in showing the potential of lecturers and students on research finding and inventions, and is an ongoing effort of the university in the international research role.
