31/03/2011Prof. Dr. Numyut Songthanapitak, president of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, on behalf of the president in the meeting of presidents from 9 Rajamangala Universities of Technology, on March 28, said the result was insisting that 9 Rajamangala Universities will admit students to study by the direct-admission system together starting from academic year 2555. Believing that this would reduce parents’ duty, be convenient for students that don’t have to take exams at many places, and it is a respond to The Ministry of Education (MOE). Besides, the meeting had set up a committee, that the representatives come from 9 Rajamangala Universities, to join considering the details of day and time of examination, institute selection, amounts of faculty allowed to list for admission, and examination question issuance. This process is anticipated to take 1 month long after that there will be presentations to the meeting to analyze, then announce students subsequently.
“Direct-Admissions from 9 Rajamagala Universities will admit students graduated with the level of Mathayonsuksa 6(equivalent to grade 12) and vocational certificate. The examination questions will cover the contents of these two curriculums. But other levels that wish to transfer credits will be considered again whether how they will be selected. For quota-admissions, the meeting agreed that each university should have its own right to select students because the practices of admissions are different.” said Prof. Dr. Namyut.
