If mention about robbery surveillance system like CCTV, many people might get used to it and know it well. But nowadays the surveillance only on house is not enough because we often hear about village robbery that happen in many houses in a day despite a 24-hour security guard.
Therefore, the measure of surveillance is needed to be stricter by using technology. Hence 3 students from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT); Mr. Warayut Saengrawee, Mr. Tham Tangjitbumpenboon and Mr. Chutpong Chumcherm invent the help system through the wireless network when there are thieves in the village, Ajarn Wuttipol Wannasup is an advisor.
This system is divided into 2 parts which are guardhouse part and dweller part. The inventors said that the system runs with software and hardware. There are 2 computers and access point or the equipment that works as the connecting center of other equipments with 2.4GHz radio frequency and the distance of transmission is 50-100 meters.
The program installed at guardhouse and house has 2 parts which are help request program that allows dwellers to push a help button that is in house, then the system will send the signal through wireless network to the guardhouse for help. After that the program installed at guardhouse will alarm and show the house position on the computer screen, so the security guard know which house needs help.
Moreover there is a chat as well, the inventors has created a program for dweller able to push the button to send the signal to the guardhouse and the program installed at guardhouse will alarm the security guard to know which house asks for help and can answer the call.
From the trial in a village of 96 houses, it appears that this system actually works. This is very useful for invention development in the future to protect lives and properties.
