09/08/2021A floating market in Damnoen Saduak District, Ratchaburi Province has become primarily a tourist attraction, attracting domestic and foreign tourists. It is often considered the most famous floating market in Ratchaburi. The motto of Ratchaburi extols the natural beauty of its land and people, including caves, earthen jars, a floating market, temples, and its beautiful and charming women. Damnoen Saduak Canal was constructed to connect Ratchaburi with Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram making local journeys to access essential services. Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is open daily in the morning at 8am and will finish at 1p.m. There are varieties of food, as well as household items, souvenirs and local handicrafts charming domestic and foreign visitors sold at the Market. This magical floating market is a reflection of the old ways of Thai living locals, bustling with lots of activities – the vegetables and fruits vendors in their boats peddling their wares. In the early morning, visitors will find local boats sailing around with fruits on board but after 10 a.m., motor boats available for both Thai and foreign visitors flying around.
