Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, The President of RMUTT revealed his policy on provision of higher medical financial assistance and new health center for its employees have recently been effective, “From now our university employees will get their medical expense assistance increased from 20,000 baht to 25,000 baht each year covering their parents, spouses, or children. We intend to increase the money step by step in long-term while information on back pay will be checked thoroughly. We also believe that increase of the money would not affect our university budget in long-run.”
Dr. Sommai added, “Our committees have already agreed to establish new Health Promotion Center within this year. The plan aims to promote, support and raise heath awareness, importance of nutrition and the significance of exercise of our students and personnel. The center will be supported by Faculty of Liberal Arts who will hold a customized exercise program, Faculty of Home Economics Technology who will advise you with the information on nutrition and Faculty of Nursing, Department of Integrative Medicine will be focusing on health issues. On the opening day of the first semester, the center will kick start with health promotion activities for all students and personnel.” The president continued, “We will be applying familiar Covid 19 measures like last year. We will be following the guidelines of control measures prepared by Ministry of Health. Hopefully, all our member of staff, lecturers, and students follow the measures strictly. For students who are symptomatic patients, RMUTT arranges a community isolation center for them.
