Time has gone fast! Just minute, the semester is going to open. During closing semester, many activities such as studying in tutorial schools or traveling other places with family are taken. One of good activities, 3rd ICT CAMP, which was organized by Electronic and Telecommunication Department, Faculty of Engineering, RMUTT, could be unforgettable. It is very useful for children and youth.
Dr. Paitoon Rakluea, the Head of project named the 3rd Science Knowledge with Information and Communication Technology (3rd ICT CAMP) and Head Deputy of Electronic and Telecommunication Department, Faculty of Engineering, told that “this project which has been established aimed to integrate the knowledge of applied career of Information and Communication Technology emphazing on local knowledge and advance innovation according to National Education. Moreover, it also emphasizes on career practice and human development, and promotes youth to benefit intelligently informational technology and creative communication in order to apply this knowledge for themselves potentially. Informational Technology and Communication has played 3 important roles affecting the people’s routine unavoidingly. The first is electronics which focuses on electronic design. The second is computer which emphasizes on its programs and the third is communication which concentrates upon Internet installation. Not only the content which is mainly focused, but also this camp has enclosed the useful relationship building in order to tie up the camp participant’s relationship. Hereby, there are 30 participants varying from primary school in grade 3 to grade 12.”
“Kot”, Siwikorn Bauplean, a grade-sixth pupil from Kasintorn School (St Peter), Nonthaburi province told that after the school, he will spend time on surfing the Internet for MSN and online game. His father allows only 1 hour per day. Since it was noticed about the camp and there are no many activities to do. Most of his time staying at home is just spent on reading books. Therefore, he decided to participate. “At the camp, I was very enjoyed because of teachers and senior staffs were very nice. Their teaching especially, local area network (LAN) line, helped me more understand about the importance of LAN and how to use it appropriately” he added.
“Leena”, Pakhan Sungkarat, a grade-ninth pupil, Patanakarn Preparation School, Nonthaburi province portrayed that this was the 2nd time to participate this kind of camp. She could benefit from the 1st camp very much. At this time, the topics that were taught by teachers are very useful. Here, she has more knowledge about Facebook or Hi5. It is actually interested by her but she did not know how to play with them. After having participated this camp, she also knew that its profile could also be decorated and here teachers had taught to use Photoshop.
“Pao”, Kitthana Suwathada,a grade-twelfth pupil from Pak Kret School mentioned that he, actually, would like to understand what Informational Technology and Communication. Now, computer has played an important role on people’s life. Here he could also gain knowledge about using many interested programs such as Flash Photoshop which it is used in work design. Moreover, he also received the friendship varying from grade 3-12. “Form the participation in this camp, I already know what field of study in the higher level of education would be. It is field of Computer which it is appropriate for me. Computer is not only used to type words and surfing the Internet, the users should also try to understand about using many programs. If there is something harder to understand, book can also help” he said.
The same as “Five”, Sriwarojana Bumpentan, a grade-three pupil from Thanyasitisin school and “Far” Natrethai Bumpentan, a grade-seventh pupil from Thanyarat School who are brother and sister said that “there is no activities to do during closing semester. Besides taking care of grandfather, we will watch TV. So, our aunt invited to participate this camp. This was the first time of any camp participation and it was very funny. Many knowledge and experience were gained from this camp”. “Moreover, it also helps reduce the electricity payment at home. Next closing semester, we will invite other friends as well”, they ended.
