RMUTT President and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pinprathomrat revealed that THB 40 million was spent to construct the RMUTT Lotus Museum, slated for completion by the end of 2017. While the initial focus of RMUTT Lotus Museum’s was on propagation, the new Lotus Museum will include a knowledge center for all things related to the lotus species, a training facility, a conference room, and be a center for hosting the international lotus conference. Currently, the RMUTT Lotus Museum has more than 1,400 lotus species.
Moreover, RMUTT President and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pinprathomrat aims that the museum will be also be an important tourist attraction for Pathumthani province and will cater to those that are interested in lotuses.
