Promoting for permanent university employees

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Numyoot Songthanapitak, the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), revealed that he agrees on the issues that there are many higher education institutes requesting the government to promote their employees, especially their temporary employees who work in assisting academic matters, to be permanent employees because in the past, these universities, particularly small-size scale, have to pay much responsibility to earn more budget for their employees support. When the budget is not enough to treat these mentioned employees, finally it will affect teaching and academic management.

“Group of employee feels uncertainty in their career patch and do not know whether next year the university will be able to hire them. If the government subsidizes the university by promoting these employees to be pertinent university staff, they will feel more secured. However, the university should work out in all related aspects for a balance of investment cost and returns and job load that will be increased as the results.
