Innovation: Making the research creativity into value reality

During the National Research Expo 2023, organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) from August 7-11, 2023, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi received a Silver Award presented with a trophy by Prof. Dr. Anek Laothammathat, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. The Expo took place at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Center, CentralWorld in Bangkok.
“Thailand Research Expo 2023” is an annual national forum where academic and research staff from all around the country gather to display their latest research studies, technology, and innovation. It offers a platform for experts to showcase their advancements in particular research fields. Furthermore, the forum strives to connect and blend knowledge for national development use concerning academia, policy, society, community, and commerce/industry. The forum has been held yearly since 2006 with the excellent collaboration among network agencies in the National Research System, relevant sectors, and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. This year, 2023, marks the 18th year of the forum. The Expo featured six presentation themes focusing on research and innovation to drive national development. The themes include the BCG economic driving model, eco-friendly high-value economics, creative economy enhancement, sustainable society engagement, environmental balance sustainability, and community potential advantage.
RMUTT is awarded with two prizes for the research works presented and exhibited under the theme of “Research and Innovation to drive national development with the BCG economic driving model.” The research topics are “BCG economic propellants through sustainable conservation mechanisms and utilization of Aquatic leeches” conducted by Dr. Chanai Noisaeng from the Faculty of Integrative Medicine and “Innovative Advanced Electrochemical Cell for Water Treatment System in Economic Fish Farming” conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Chatchai Ponchio from the Faculty of Science and Technology
