RMUTT postpones Medical Check-Up Date and Pre-Sessional Courses
04/10/2010Assoc. Prof. Dr. Numyoot Songthanapitak, President, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) reavealed that “regarding to RMUTT had proposed its works to join the work contest at Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition 2010 (KIWIE 2010) in Seoul, Korea.
This event had been organized to display and contest the research works discovered by ladies. Hereby, there were many lady competitors coming from more than 109 offices and departments and 31 countries. As the result, it was found that works from RMUTT officers won 8 awards. The first award is a KIWIE Award received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirikhae Pongswat and Ms. Suthawan Suwan from Faculty of Sicence and Technology, their work is “Column Photobioreactor to Algal Cultivation for Biofuel Production”. The second award is a KOTRA Award, received by Ms. Veeraporn Piwsa-ard from Faculty of Engineering, her works is “Electronic Parts Made from Environmental Friendly Plastics”.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Numyoot continually mentioned that another three silver medals were received by firstly Asst. Prof. Dr. Warunee Ariyawiriyanan and Ms. Thanyanan Woraseatapong from Faculty of Engineering, their work is “Floor Tile Rubber Made from Natural Rubber Green Composite for Outdoor Floor Covering”. Secondly it was received by Ms. Veeraporn Piwsa-ard, her work is “Electronic Parts Made from Environmental Friendly Plastics”. Finally, it was receieved by Dr. Orawan Oupathampanont from Fuculty of Home Economics and Technology, her work is Laetobacillus Planturum P1 by Hygienic Fermented Thai Rice Noodle” Morover, from the result, staffs from RMUTT also received Bronze Medals which are firstly, Ms. Rungnapa Ponpeksa from Fuculty of Fine and Applied Art and her work is Design of Niello-Work Products Decorated With Twelve Signs of Zodiac from Nakornsrithammarach province. Secondly, it was received by Ms. Kitiyapan Polam, Sakorn Chonsakorn, Ms. Uraiwan Kamsing and Asst. Prof. Suradach Chupinijrobkob from Faculty of Home Economic and Technology and their work is “Development of Transformation Textile Products from Sesbania Bark”. Finally, it was received by Asst. Prof. Marin Salee from Faculty of Home Economics and Technology, her work is “Development of Transformation Food Products from Sesbania”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Numyoot added that these awards help repuate the university internationally. It is accounted as the university success and these works can also help develop for comercail purposes and gain finance to develop further.
