Furthering Research on Star Grass: POLVERA Aloe Vera Star Grass Sleeping Mask

Bangkok Aloe Limited and Assist. Prof. Dr. Kornwinwich Boonpisoothnun from RMUTT’s Thai Traditional Medicine College have collaborated to invent the POLVERA aloe vera star grass sleeping mask

Assist. Prof. Dr. Kornwinwich revealed that RMUTT’s Thai Traditional Medicine College developed extracts from star grass, a plant with an extended history of beauty and health benefits. Previous research findings yielded that appropriate extraction of raw star grass can stimulate collagen production in the skin, reduce melanin production in melanocyte cells, and prevent growth of Tyrosinase, an enzyme related to melanin production. Furthermore, it is stronger than Kojic acid, a Tyrosinase inhibitor, and a substance that makes skin whiter, which is often used in cosmetics. Moreover, star grass extracts are not toxic to the skin. It was also found that star grass extracts may be used to develop various cosmetics as well. Thus, RMUTT’s Thai Traditional Medicine College developed an aloe vera star grass sleeping mask, has successfully patented the invention under RMUTT, and has also received numerous innovation awards domestically and internationally.
