RMUTT flattered by receiving 260-million-baht research funding from external sources in response to the goal of the 20 – Year National Strategy

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) revealed, “In 2022, RMUTT had been receiving external research funding of more than 260 million baht It is certainly a great opportunity for our university employees to apply their academic knowledge through their research works. The top-three RMUTT’s highest funded research departments include Department of Engineering, Department of Science and Technology, and Department of Agricultural Technology. We, RMUTT, are grateful for external research funding which is offered from a variety of sources, including National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B), Program Management Unit Competitiveness (PMUC), Program Management Unit on Area Based Development (PMU-A), etc.”
The President further added, “RMUTT also received Fundamental Fund (FF) granted by Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) who emphasizes on their missions to provide research grants for fundamental research works based on Technology Readiness Scale from 1 to 3 as well as to response to RMUTT and Thailand’s 20-year National Strategy. We started providing financial funding of 23 million baht in 2020 and currently we have been increasing the fund to 43 million. Meanwhile, funding ceiling will be increased to 70 million baht in 2024. Our beloved RMUTT is truly grateful not only for receiving annual research grants from external research funding sources but our RMUTT’s Research and Development also provides the university lecturers-researchers with financial grants to further their research studies.
