28/12/2021Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi Announcement on Anti-Bribery Policy against accepting bribes, gifts, souvenirs, gratuities, or any other benefits NO GIFT POLICY for the fiscal year 2022
In accordance with Section 128 paragraph one of the Act Supplementing the Constitution Relating to the Prevention and Suppression of Corruption B.E. 2561 (2018), which mandates that no state official shall receive money or other benefits from anyone outside of what is legally entitled by law, regulations, or rules prescribed by the authority of legal provisions, except for the receipt of property or benefits according to the rules and amounts established by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). This is in addition to the Civil Service Code of Ethics, Article 2 (4), which emphasizes the importance of the common good over personal interest, the absence of conflict of interest, a spirit of public service, the ability to separate personal matters from official duties, not acting in a manner that causes conflict between personal interests and the common good, and not engaging in or being involved with business or interests that arise from the performance of one’s duties.
Therefore, in order to avoid actions that may affect decision-making, lead to preferential treatment, or result in conflicts of interest, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi has established guidelines for the practice of combating the acceptance of bribes, gifts, souvenirs, gratuities, or any other benefits – a NO GIFT POLICY, “No Giving, No Receiving,” requiring all government officials and personnel at every level to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Do not initiate or imply the giving or receiving of gifts, souvenirs, gratuities, or any other benefits.
- Do not give or receive gifts, souvenirs, gratuities, or any other benefits.
- Do not consent or willfully ignore family members giving or receiving gifts, souvenirs, gratuities, or any other benefits from persons involved in work-related matters.
- Do not engage in any activity that leads to conflicting interests in the performance of duties, nor should one facilitate benefits for oneself or others that could damage the governmental service or be corrupt.
- In the case where an official from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi is found guilty of such misconduct, the university will take serious disciplinary action. This is hereby announced for knowledge and strict compliance, announced on December 28, 2021.
