Sugarcane Harvesting Tractor Invented by RMUTT Students
09/08/2011Generally, a machine which is produced to help human need to consume a lot of energy no matter it is about gasoline or electricity power causing creation of more expensive spending human need to carry on with unavailability.
From the concepts of energy save plus demand of machine invention to help people without expenditure increase, Mr. Songyod Khongchiyabhum, Miss Sunisa Kantook and Siripong Likkachai, the students majoring in Agricultural Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), successfully invented a leaves collector advised by Ajarn Krawee Threekumnuk. The highlight of this machine is about non-energy consumption (it uses human power instead).
The owners said out that “this machine comprises mainly with driving gears, a harvester set, a canvas conveyor and a leaves collector. It operates by using human power to haul the collector, the rear wheels driven by a gear drives the front one to force the harvester to fetch up the leaves and transmit to the conveyor (the conveyor uses chains and belts). Finally it ends at the bag of leaves keeper.”
From the experimentation test, this machine has been found to potentially operate in collecting 59 kilograms of the leaves per a rai by using only one person and to consume only 3.9 hours per a rai. Totally, the machine can work at 14.62 kilograms per a rai per an hour.
