01/09/2011RMUT Preparing to Discuss about Wages of Bachelor Personel
Assoc. Prof. Numyoot Songthanapitak, president of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) presided over the 9 RMUTs’ Presidents Meeting. Discussing about the increase in minimum wages for labors educated lower than bachelor’s degree to 300 Baht per day and increase the minimum salary for bachelor’s degree graduated to 15,000 Baht. RMUTT is ready to process on this due to the government policy but we have to consider the criteria for personnel in which how much they can get paid to be the information to propose the government’s budgets. For RMUTT personnel, there’s a very small amount that get paid lower than 15,000 Baht because the university has the promoting policy to encourage its personnel to study in the higher education so that they can get higher salaries. Those get lower than 9,000 Baht per month are a very small amount.
“As soon as the government has the clearer policy, RMUTT is ready to enforce it; however the government should support the budget. The past presidents meeting didn’t take this issue into account, but the next time, I will bring this issue on and discuss with other Rajamangala Universities to be the approach in the same direction.” The president said.
