RMUTT Introducing International Zone

Mr. Pongpith Tuanpusa, director of Office of Academic Resource and Information Technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) said the Office of Academic Resource and Information Technology is the information resource, so it is needed to improve at all time. For the academic year 2011 starting in April, the office has improved the services by separating into zones to be convenient for students, lecturers, and personnel of RMUTT. The 2nd floor is the place of foreign book shelves, so we provide “International Zone” that offer media and computers focusing on English language. Emphasizing self-study, students can learn by themselves with E-Learning. The 3rd floor provides books, researches and e-Book to respond researchers’ needs from the Master’s Degree and Doctorate students of the university. At presents the office has 6,000 e-Books about science and technology and will provide more. We have been planning to provide more computers and printer in order that students can print their e-Books right away.

He also said that the 4th floor becomes a place for seminars. We have invited inside and outside experts to train students and those interested. We have a seminar program in each week, so everyone can see that the library is a learning resource that allows them to share knowledge, with an outstanding item that is interested by students so that they can share knowledge with other people and it’s a way to enhance students with academic potentials.

“RMUTT concentrates greatly on the Office of Academic Resource and Information Technology in providing IT and library because it’s the learning resource for students, and spends a lot of budgets and human resources for the full option service. Hence new students and users are requested to use for the highest benefits, not to use technology in the wrong way.” He said.
