
Procedure for Requesting the Academic Position Classification
1. The faculty/college receives the work and related documents from the applicant requesting the academic position classification and proceeds as follows:
1.1 Verify the qualifications for requesting the position classification.
1.2 Check that all related documents are complete.
1.3 Appoint a sub-committee for evaluating teaching performance and reviewing documents based on the academic position.
1.4 Ensure that the sub-committee evaluates the teaching performance and related documents and completes the evaluation process.
2. The faculty/college prepares a letter along with the work, related documents, appointment order for the sub-committee, and teaching evaluation results, and submits them to the Personnel Administration Office.
3. The Personnel Administration Office reviews the qualifications, academic work, and related documents according to the following cases:
3.1 If the qualifications and work do not meet the criteria set by the Academic Position Classification Committee (APC), the matter is returned to the faculty/college.
3.2 If the related documents are incorrect or incomplete, the applicant is notified to revise and resubmit them.
4. The matter is brought before the Academic Work Review Committee meeting for preliminary evaluation of the academic work.
5. The matter is brought before the Academic Position Review Committee for consideration of the request and selection of qualified experts to evaluate the academic work.
6. Invite qualified experts to serve as evaluators for the academic work, ethics, and academic conduct.
7. Submit the academic work to the qualified experts for evaluation.
8. Convene a meeting of the qualified experts to evaluate the academic work and summarize the results of the evaluation.
9. The matter is brought before the Academic Position Review Committee. If there is a resolution to revise the work, the following steps (9.1 - 9.3) will be followed. If no revision is required, proceed with the steps outlined in item 10.
9.1 If the decision is to revise the work, the Personnel Administration Office will notify the applicant's department to have the applicant make the necessary revisions within the specified time frame.
9.2 Once the applicant has completed the revisions, the Personnel Administration Office will submit the revised work to the qualified experts for evaluation.
9.3 After the qualified experts have completed the evaluation of the revised work, the matter will be brought back to the Academic Position Review Committee for further consideration.
10. The matter will be submitted to the University Council for approval of the academic position classification request.
11. The results of the academic position classification request will be communicated to the applicant’s department, awaiting the University Council’s decision, with the following actions:
11.1 If approved, the Personnel Administration Office will send the appointment order and a congratulatory card to the faculty/college.
11.2 If not approved, the decision and the reasons for rejection will be communicated to the faculty/college.

- The total duration is 187 days for processing each applicant, assuming there are no issues or delays.
- The personnel responsible for handling the academic position classification process are 2 staff members.
- There are no fees involved.
