This ‘Wat Chedi Thong’ Temple is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. Inside the temple lies a golden colored or white Chedi, or stupa, constructed during the early Rattanakosin era. The temple’s architecture imitates the Burmese “Chittakong” stupa. Interestingly, a respected ‘Lanna-style’ white jade Buddha image, is also enshrined at the temple.
