Signing Ceremony of the Intellectual Property Licensing Agreement Between RMUTT and Vinci Technology Co., Ltd.
23/12/2024RMUTT Thanyaburi has partnered with Digital Focus Co., Ltd. to promote and develop the capabilities for creating digital innovation. They have received smart cameras, gateways, and sensors worth 1 million baht. The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding was attended by executives, lecturers, and researchers at room ST-1306, Faculty of Science and Technology, RMUTT Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani Province.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, Acting President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT Thanyaburi), stated that the equipment donation and the collaborative memorandum of understanding represent an important step in advancing the university’s digital technology development. Especially, the modern camera sets, gateways, and various sensors can be developed into SMART solutions that meet the needs of a Smart University, Smart City, and Smart Country, enhancing the quality of life for the people, communities, and society. This cooperation not only promotes research but also supports teaching and learning that can connect with the industry. RMUTT Thanyaburi, as an educational sector, collaborates with Digital Focus from the private sector in developing research and extending into creating new innovations that meet the country’s future needs.
Mr. Somchai Prajaksoot, Chairman of Digital Focus Co., Ltd., mentioned that the company is committed to supporting Thai education and innovation by collaborating with RMUTT Thanyaburi through DGF Academy in developing courses in AIoT, Robotics, and Green Energy. This includes supporting research projects such as Smart Home, Smart Campus, and Smart City by providing necessary materials and tools. On this occasion, they have donated sets of modern equipment, including cameras, gateways, and various sensors valued at 1 million baht to the Faculties of Science and Technology and Engineering. These will be used by students to develop research projects and create digital innovations related to Smart Home, Smart Campus, Smart Building, Smart Factory, Smart Transportation, and Smart City. Additionally, they encourage students to intern and gain professional experience, learning alongside real work to fully prepare for their future careers and to produce a new generation skilled in digital technology ready to drive sustainable national development.
Asst. Prof. Dr.Nipat Jongsawat, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, stated that the 1 million baht worth of equipment received will be divided equally between the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Engineering, with each receiving 500,000 baht. This allocation aims to advance research, innovation, and learning in areas such as AIoT, Robotics, and Green Energy. It also seeks to elevate education quality to keep pace with technology and gain international recognition. The primary goal of signing this academic cooperation agreement is to promote joint educational management between educational institutions and enterprises. This cooperation strives to modernize educational quality, aligning with technology and gaining international acceptance. Additionally, it strengthens the connection between the public and private sectors, enhancing academic knowledge exchange and research collaboration. It represents a crucial opportunity for advancing education, developing innovation, and creating quality human resources to meet future industry demands.
Assistant Professor Manoch Pracha, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, added that this cooperation signifies a critical step towards transformative changes across various areas. Particularly, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), as an educational institution, has closely collaborated with Digital Focus, a direct enterprise. This represents an excellent opportunity for students, not only in terms of cooperative education programs but also in preparing them for the job market and future employment.
