Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerasak Krueathep, Director of Research and Innovation Division (NRCT), who presided over the project opening, revealed that the seminar to disseminate the platform for water production and distribution systems was organized under the research project to enhance the intelligent digital platform for monitoring water quality in local municipal systems. The goal is to develop a digital platform to inspect, monitor, and assess water quality through the Internet of Things (IoT) network and to develop water quality measurement tools, such as detecting pathogens, acidity-alkalinity, conductivity, turbidity, fluoride, and chloride, for use in prototype water quality monitoring stations in local municipalities.
“This project facilitates access to water quality data, inspection, alerts, and reports on tap water status through the digital platform for efficient water management. It also aims to develop personnel in local municipal organizations, government and private sector executives, and the public to have basic knowledge about water quality and be able to inspect it themselves. This platform is not just a tool for inspecting tap water quality but serves as a key driving force in building strong communities, promoting participation in water resource management in their locality effectively, and creating water security for communities sustainably,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerasak explained.”
