Brilliant idea! The Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) opens the “Just Art Thesis Exhibition 2025” showcasing innovative designs

A central city space has been opened for students from the Department of Art and Design Technology to display their thesis artworks. The exhibition, titled “Just Art Thesis Exhibition 2025”, features over 100 significant works reflecting new perspectives in the design industry, integrating technology with contemporary art all in one show.

Assistant Professor Manoch Boontonglek, Dean of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at RMUTT, revealed that the Department of Art and Design Technology has organized a thesis exhibition for fourth-year students under the theme “Just”. This provides students the opportunity to fully express their potential and creativity across four major fields: Communication Design, Interior Design, Product Design, and Innovative Contemporary Product Design. The exhibition was inaugurated by Ms. Euamporn Sripuang, Director of the Office of Innovation Promotion and Learning Development, Ministry of Education, at Union Mall, CoEvent Studio Zone, 5th Floor, Bangkok.

The Dean further stated that this exhibition is a critical platform giving students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in presenting their works, receive feedback from experts, and build networks with professionals in the art and design community, which will be invaluable for their future careers. Moreover, there are plans to enhance the exhibition’s appeal and reach its target audience more effectively by utilizing modern technology for presentations, as well as organizing seminars, workshops, and art performances to add different dimensions to the exhibition.

Asst. Prof. Acting Sub Lt. Panchaluk Hareerak, Head of the Department of Art and Design Technology, mentioned that the department focuses on a teaching approach that encourages students to develop creative concepts and produce uniquely contemporary designs. In this exhibition, students present diverse works showcasing their skills and capability to seamlessly integrate art and design. Besides displaying their works, the exhibition offers the public a glimpse into the advancement of art and design at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, serving also as an outreach for prospective students. Miss Supharada Sookamphon, the Student President of the Department of Design and Technology, Faculty of Fine Arts, RMUTT Thanyaburi, mentioned that the Thesis Exhibition displaying the works of art students as part of their thesis course, which is a part of the Bachelor of Fine Arts curriculum, requires students to integrate their knowledge gained throughout the program to design and create works that benefit society. These works are the outcome of their diligent efforts and dedication throughout their studies, showcasing creativity and skills. The Thesis Exhibition 2025 will feature over 100 students and is scheduled from March 12-16, 2025. This event is not only a showcase of their work but also a significant source of learning and inspiration for those interested in creative design.

Miss Phitchaya Phanthanamai, known as “Folk,” a representative of fourth-year students participating in the exhibition, presented her project on designing ART TOY to promote dressing and gender equality in a Unisex format. She aims to demonstrate how art and design can be tools for communicating and promoting important social issues. Her ART TOY design incorporates the fashion identity of the 1980s, with a concept focused on a Unisex character that does not specify gender, embracing neutrality. Hairstyles, clothing, and accessories are designed to be suitable for all genders.
