28/09/2010Asst. Prof. Sumanikar Chanbancherd, an assistant to the president, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) revealed that “Assoc. Prof. Dr. Numyoot Songthanapitak, a president, with the university has played an important role to work cooperatively in term of community development with the province administrators. Up to the present, the university has been working together with the province administrators in order to create and develop the community including receive the financial budget for developmental researches espacailly in term of tourism. The lastest support is the project named “Watching the Bloomed Lotuses, Eating the Food Made of The lotuses”
“Another project which the university is very pourd of is the task to research and study about the boat noodle museum establishment where it can gather all boat noodle history and knowledge. This musuem will be located at the Rangsit water market and it is going to open for visit soon. Moreover, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, RMUTT, has also rececieved the trustiness from the province administrators to design and develop the province landscape which now the designed work is acceptable with highly appreciated and being transfered to the next step of the development processes.”
Asst. Prof. Sumanikar also mentions that “the university also works closely with local administrative division to develop the community such as Bung kayang where the university has to design the developmental plan of landscape of near-river market, product development and packaging including traditional and cultural traning courses espacailly Thai-Mons culture by teaching Thai youth to know how to dance Thai-Mons style.”
