New Generation 4.0: ‘Valuable’ Reflections of University Apprentices in “Agricultural Technology”

In the age of Thailand 4.0 generation, the trend of technology has been turning to robotic automation as found in different fields of study in order to successfully respond to the digital world. Particularly in academic institutions in higher education level in which have enhanced themselves so as to respond to the needs of learner and the labor market.  

“Agriculture” is considered to be one of the very most important fields of study especially in this fast changing world of Agro technology. Higher numbers of students in higher education level have significantly put their interests in joining the field resulting from fast connection with social media where knowledge can be fed to them limitlessly. Interestingly one of RMUTT agriculture students from Rajamangala university of Technology Thanyaburi have reflected their thoughts on the value of being future agronomists.  

Starting with a good looking 3rd year agro student in The Department of Zoology, RMUUT, Puri Kiratikumjorn or ‘Oat’ who revealed, “Thai people are just so lucky to have land and water filled with food resources where they can be fed to the world. And of course, being in the field of Agriculture or a career for life requires lifelong dedication and self-improvement, then only you will be successful.” 

  “From the love of pet at a very young age, I have been fascinated and involving with animal’s behaviors and unique characteristics either learning from others or by myself. Petting from dog, iguana, lizard to snake, the beauty of nature has been making me aware my true passion and love. Finally, I have decided to pick RMUTT studying in the department of Zoology to fulfill my passion by emphasizing on animal production with advanced agricultural expertise including raising live stocks in limited area, feeding available food resources to animals without planting new ones, operating management and conducting researches” added Oat.    

“In Zoology classes, you need to study both the theoretical stuffs and practices. I could say that there have been many times that you have to do the hands on stuff and of course it is real fun when you have a chance to put your hands on the living things. At present, agriculture has been supported technologically to increase the quality of production and thus, almost every process of animal production must be involved with technology in order to sometimes to lessen production time, increase product life span or simply to find ways to make the work worthwhile.  No matter how much the technology has been advanced, human still needs food as a source of living and so, we are proud to be as part of agricultural career.
