RMUTT, A Closer Step to DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ERA with DIGITAL TRANSCRIPT

Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), accepted the Fellowship Award 2021 for Leadership in Enterprise in Education from Dr. Maurice Dimmock of the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges, and Universities (ASIC). Furthermore, RMUTT also received the Student Support, Enterprise Award, and Inclusivity Award from the submission of its standard assessment work to ASIC. The award ceremony took place at the Mangala Ubol conference room, 1st floor, Chalermprakiat Building on the 48th Birthday Anniversary of RMUTT.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art expressed that he was impressed and pleased with the awards given by ASIC, which are the result of everyone’s efforts. These honors show the dedication of all faculty members in creating community benefits. The majority of the work involves spreading university knowledge to the community. Another part focuses on student development, creating capable, responsible students with soft skills, an important force for Thailand. The award is a testament to the success of the faculty’s efforts, and it’s essential that students work together to build a valuable state university, showcasing RMUTT’s not only national but also international standards.
The Student Support Award was given for the work submitted since 2020, which included efforts in aiding students, especially during COVID-19, by taking care of their well-being, distributing survival bags, sourcing vaccines, providing mental health counseling, free food services for dormitory students, and more. The Enterprise Award was given for proposing research that developed bamboo and banana products, which allowed communities to create jobs and increase income, improving lives. Lastly, the Inclusivity Award was received for work on equality and care for all students, including those with disabilities and low incomes, by supporting scholarships, the morale clinic, job seeking while studying, health insurance, and creating opportunities for international exchange.
Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boonthida Eua-arporn, the Deputy Director of the Office of Library and Information Technology, also received the special accolades of the Outstanding Women in Education Award and the Outstanding Contribution to International Education Award.
The President of RMUTT also mentioned that when submitting work for the ASIC standard assessment, the indicators reflect the identity of a technological university.”
