Prof. Phurin Akarakulthorn, a teacher who attends the duty on lotuses with their species more than 200 at Rajamnagala University of Technology Thanyaburi, RMUTT, mentioned that “at the present, the lotuses are going to disappear in the Thai society. According to this reason, it leads RMUTT has to expand a few species of the lotuses that they are available here to be more than 200 species in order to let Thai youth be able to see. Moreover, RMUTT lotus museum are also opened for them as their knowledge center. Soon, RMUTT is going to set up the activity named Watching Bloomed Lotuses, Eating Food made of Lotuses on August 6-8, 2010 at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi.
