The Faculty of Business Administration was established as part of the Institute of Technology and Vocational Education in 1975 by the Technology and Vocational Education Act. The faculty offered higher vocational certificates or diplomas, and contained the departments of Business Education and Relations, Marketing, Accounting, and Management.

After the 1979 fiscal budget was approved, the Administration Office was founded at Chakrabongse Bhuvanarth campus. It was housed in an eight-story building that would later contain classrooms for Business Administration students.

In 1984, His Majesty the King bestowed a new name on ITVE, as the college became “Rajamangala Institute of Technology” (RIT), RIT was able to offer courses at bachelor’s degree level. and so set up a center for teaching undergraduate students at Tambon Klong Hok, Amphoe Thanyaburi, in Pathumthani Province, known as the RIT Main Campus.

In 1992, the Faculty of Business Administration moved from Chakrabongse Bhuvanarth Campus to the main campus, the current site of the faculty.

In 1999, to conform to government policies and assist with the nation’s economic growth, the faculty founded two more departments: the Department of Finance and the Department of Economics. Furthermore, the faculty recognized the importance of economic growth to the country, and so offered two study programs for graduates, in International Business, and Business English. This gave rise to the subsequent postgraduate programs in the faculty. The Department of International Business Administration was set up, and the IBBA International Programs began in the Faculty in 2002 – 2003.

In 2005, the faculty was the first of all the RMUT faculties to offer master’s programs, and in 2008, became the first to offer doctorate programs,

The Faculty of Business Administration puts emphasis on lecturers’ and students’ potential to contribute to the world’s economic growth, and on their ability to achieve their own personal goals, which will in turn, help the nation achieve its goals.
