Radio broadcasting is acting a key role from the beginning era with it has unique capability that every people can listen to everywhere and every time. Many universities including Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, RMUTT, have now established the radio stations in order to offer the opportunity of studying and practicing for their students who are interested in and to create the understanding messages between university and community. RMUTT established its station named Radio Network for Education and Career, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, FM.107.75 MHz.
Dr. Vichai Payakkaso, the faculty dean of Mass Communication Technology at RMUTT mentioned that “this establishment with well-known name, RT RADIO FM.107.75 MHz., is aiming to be career practical center for faculty students and to public university’s news including career training programs to community nearby.
Most of radio program are conducted by teachers and students who were well trained and recruited by radio committees in order to maintain the radio broadcasting’s standard. These programs which are offered by this radio station are various, both entertainment and varieties which it encloses career practical knowledge for community people.” He added that, “next academic year semester, RT RADIO enlarges its ability and competency by offering study program via radio broadcasting. Its first subject is English language.”
Klong, Mr. Nattapong Moungpin, the 4th year student majoring in Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology, Faculty of Mass Communication Technology told that firstly, he came here as news selectors for 07.00 pm. – 08.00 pm. on air time. From 4 year being a radio host speaker, not only skills in radio organizer are gained but face-face problem solution and practical technique skills of using equipment are also increasing. The next goal is to be radio host speaker for sport program.
Benz, Mr. weerasak Chansang, the 4th year student from the same department said that he is interested in radio program speaker since he was studying at Pattani Technical College. At that time, he was at 89.5 MHz. (Love Radio). Therefore, after entering to this university, he decided to establish the Indy Song entertainment program which is on air during 05.00 pm – 07.00 pm. His program is targeting on listeners group approximately 15-30 years old. From 2 years, this experience is accounted as much value which it could not be found in anywhere.
Nun, Chakriya Vienchai, a new radio host speaker, the 1st year student from the same field of study addressed that besides experience and knowledge will be gained hereby, but it also can envisage her vision wider such as exchanging opinion with listeners, daring to express ability and skilling language communication. Now, she is offering listeners service with good songs and knowledge under the program namely Music Tonight, on air during 09.00 pm.-00.00 am.
