23/10/2022President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Associate Professor Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art revealed, “RMUTT hosted a seminar on its strategic plan and policy making RMUTT the next innovation university and exhibition at RMUTT Convention Hall. Responsible for organizing the event, the Division of Policy and Planning conducted two main activities including seminar on RMUTT university strategic plan and policy of 2023-2027 (2nd phase) and exhibition of performance in regard to the strategic plan and policy of 2020- 2022 (1st phase).
In order to transform RMUTT into ‘Innovative University’, Strategy and Policy Development 2020- 2037 and 3-Year Action Plan 2020-2022 would be followed. The Strategic plan consisted of 4 phases in response to the Thai National Strategic Plan, as the following: 1st Phase (ended in September, 2022) – (Dynamic) Quick growth and change of countries, regions and society and how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world. To make sure that the strategic plan and policy were updated in response to the rapid change of the world, thus, RMUTT decided to initiate a seminar with the aim of collecting useful suggestions from the seminar attendees and from representatives of RMUTT university council to improve its plan and policy in line with the Thai National Strategic Plan, National Education Reform Plan, 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan, Higher Vocational Policy and Strategy Framework of Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (2024-2028), Ministerial Regulation on Higher Education Institution Criteria (2021), National Framework of Higher Education (2022), Higher Education Policy for Manpower and Knowledge Development (2024-2027) as well as University Ranking Strategy. Performance of the strategic plan and policy of 2020- 2022 (1st phase) would also be applied for developing RMUTT university strategic plan and policy of 2023-2027 (2nd phase) which was already approved by the RMUTT University Council. The seminar was held under the concept of ‘Strategies to Innovative University: Revisited’ (2023-2027).
“The event was held in order to showcase the performance in regard to the driven RMUTT strategic plan and policy. Besides, our internal and external collaborations are also made to assist us to transform from plan and strategy to practical application with efficiency, unity, and consistency. Hopefully, we will be able to drive our university forward and transform it to innovative university as a critical component of country and human development,” concluded the President.
