RMUTT Thanyaburi and Muang Thai Insurance Tie-Dye for the Heart, Sending Encouragement to Breast Cancer Patients
19/03/2024Congratulations to the Railway RMUTT 01 team from the Department of Railway Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), comprising Anon Tiengbangplee, Priyapat Hengprasith, Nontakorn Pankaeo, Sirawit Srimathorn, Phoochit Luealap, Peeraphat Puddee, Praphat Sueainto, and Jettavee Srichanong, for winning the first prizes in the Traction Challenge and Endurance Challenge at the TRRN Railway Challenge 2024 Round Track Based Challenge, held at the Plant Genetic Conservation Center inspired by the royal initiated project of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (PCC), Tambon Khlong Phai, Sikhiu District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The team was advised by Dr. Sataphon Thongvik, Asst. Prof. Dr. Manusak Jantong, and the faculty team.
This competition garnered attention from higher education institutions nationwide, with over 11 teams from 10 educational institutions participating, including Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Nakhon Ratchasima, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Sakon Nakhon Campus, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Khon Kaen Campus, Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, and Suranaree University of Technology.
The competition showcased the design concepts and innovations of students testing the locomotives they built. The Track Test Challenge was divided into seven categories: Traction Challenge, Noise Challenge, Ride Comfort Challenge, Reliability Challenge, Auto-stop Challenge, Energy Consumption Challenge, and Endurance Challenge, each testing the strengths and weaknesses of the designs and techniques used on a 395 rai (approximately 156 acres) railway track.
Phootchit Luealap shared that the cooperation between the tram controllers and the technical team minimized errors, ensuring precise solutions, and the adhesion design enhanced performance, managing uphill and downhill sections well. He noted the excitement of this first-time railway competition, wherein he handled the electrical system, saw it as a challenge to his skills, and solved problems effectively in real-time.
Priyapat Hengprasith commented on how embarking on her first university-level project was a significant step.”
