Art Thesis Exhibition: Cultivating Quality Artists from RMUTT to the Heart of Bangkok
10/04/2025RMUTT Thanyaburi organized the grand event “RMUTT IP & Business Matching: Transforming Ideas into the Market, Creating Future Opportunities” as an important platform to connect research and innovations to the business sector. This event provides opportunities for researchers and entrepreneurs to form business partnerships and collaborate on investments to drive the Thai economy through advanced knowledge and technology. It was held at Novotel Future Park Rangsit Hotel, Pathum Thani Province.
The opening ceremony was honored by Professor Dr. Krischonme Bhumkittipich, Vice President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), who stated that the RMUTT IP & Business Matching is a significant step for the university in bringing knowledge to practical commercial use, enhancing business capabilities and advancing technology development on a global scale.
Associate Professor Kiattisak Sangpradit, Director of the Research and Development Institute at RMUTT, discussed the event’s strategies and objectives, emphasizing the importance of integration between education and industry sectors to create tangible results in driving innovation to the market and promoting investment in research outputs and the effective use of technology in commerce.
During the event, there was a special lecture on the topic “Promoting Joint Investment to Drive Research and Innovation through University Holding Company” presented by Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nopbhorn Leeprechanon, Deputy Director of the Office of the Science, Research, and Innovation Promotion Committee (OSRI). He provided in-depth information on ways to support research funding and link research work with business mechanisms to ensure sustainability and international competitiveness.
One of the key activities of the event was pitching, which is part of the project “Systematic Intellectual Property Capability Enhancement that Supports University Research Advancement in Technology Development and Innovation Promotion.” This is supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. This activity allows researchers to present their work to the industry, showcasing notable projects such as “Saro Calcium+,” a calcium supplement product made from eggshells that helps increase bone mass density; semi-dry seasoned shrimp products that extend shelf life while maintaining fresh taste; a spiral plastic waste compression machine that helps reduce waste and enhances recycling efficiency; and a puncture-resistant material test kit for use in industrial safety, among others.
Additionally, the research presentations covered key university flagship initiatives divided into five main groups: (1) Agri-Food Innovation, (2) Health and Wellness, (3) Logistic Innovation, (4) Digital Economy, and (5) Tourism Creative Innovation, with announcements and awards given to the most outstanding projects of the year.
The RMUTT IP & Business Matching event is considered a significant milestone in driving research work to create economic value and enhance the capability of Thai researchers to compete on the global stage truly.
