RMUTT Collaborates with NIA to Support Green Innovation Businesses, Aiding Thai Entrepreneurs in Fiscal Year 2025
11/02/2025RMUTT Thanyaburi is organizing the 31st National Conference on Agricultural Engineering Projects under the theme “Sufficiency Economy: The Nation’s Foundation, Agricultural Engineering Wisdom Creates Innovation” from February 6-7, 2025. The event is honored to be presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, Acting President of RMUTT Thanyaburi. The aim is to support the role of agricultural engineering in the intelligent agricultural era, taking place at the Song Thanapithak Conference Room, RMUTT Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani Province.
Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT Thanyaburi) will host the 31st National Agricultural Engineering Project Conference from February 6-7, 2025, at the Song Thanapithak Conference Room. The event will be attended by more than 500 academics, faculty members, students, and private sector representatives to exchange knowledge and innovations in agricultural engineering, facilitating the advancement of Thailand’s agricultural sector towards the digital age.
Associate Professor Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, Acting President of RMUTT Thanyaburi, stated that the agricultural sector is a crucial foundation of Thailand’s economy, both in terms of food security and exports. The adoption of technologies such as intelligent agriculture, planting drones, and automated water management systems will help increase output, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. The development of skilled personnel in agricultural engineering, with specific expertise in designing machinery, automation systems, and data analysis technology, is essential for enhancing the country’s capacity. This conference serves as an important platform that drives Thailand’s agricultural sector towards sustainable growth and aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.”
“This meeting is an important opportunity to disseminate agricultural engineering knowledge to the public, enhance cooperation between educational institutions, and serve as an important platform for students, researchers, and entrepreneurs to present their work, exchange knowledge, and build collaborative networks. This will lead to the advancement of Thailand’s agricultural sector to be internationally competitive, integrating knowledge for the development of innovations and technologies to uplift Thailand’s agricultural sector to compete on a global scale,” explained Associate Professor Dr. Sommai.
Meanwhile, Associate Professor Sorapong Pavasupree, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, added that the theme of the event, “Sufficiency Economy: The Foundation of the Nation, Agricultural Engineering Sage Creates Innovation,” focuses on developing Thailand’s agricultural sector to be stable and sustainable. Applying the principles of a sufficiency economy in conjunction with innovation will help Thailand’s agricultural sector grow sustainably and be a crucial foundation for the country’s economic development. The event featured 35 research presentations on agricultural engineering, with 13 oral presentations and 22 poster presentations, as well as an agricultural engineering skills competition with 24 teams from 14 educational institutions nationwide. The event received cooperation from the Thai Society of Agricultural Engineering and related agencies. This significant national event will enhance the role of agricultural engineering personnel in driving Thailand’s agricultural sector, particularly by utilizing technology and innovation in agriculture.
