04/10/2010Ginger is a plant giving sweet mixed spicy flavor and is frequently used as carminative and for treatment of dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, flu, coughs, depression, dizziness, fever, expectorant and colic. It can also be cooked or eaten while it is fresh. Its products are such as ginger powder, pickled ginger, ginger tea and etc.
Salapao or Steamed stuff bun is popularly eaten before having the major meal. Salapao can also reduce starving hunger and it also stimulates to have another type of food. There are many flavors, both sweet and being made with pork and etc.
This nice creative menu, Salapao with ginger flavor, is created by Ms. Sunsanee Chun-chun, or Aor, the 4th year student, Department of Foods and Nutrition, Faculty of Home Economics technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, RMUTT, and her advisor, Asst. Prof Suchada Ngamprapawat from the same faculty. She, Aor, advocated that Salapao with ginger flavor is appropriately accounted as another best healthy food because, it is not only delicious but it also helps reduce carsickness or seasickness. Furthermore, eater can bring it everywhere as she or he wants.
