Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pinprathomrat, RMUTT President announced that RMUTT has extended the testing period for students applying for a Bachelor’s degree program (Direct admissions) in 2017. Previously, the application period was open until February 28th, 2017, but has been extended until March 10th, 2017.
RMUTT wants prospective students to know that RMUTT will not accept students through the admissions system this year. According to the latest information, more than 10,000 prospective students have submitted their application and have paid the test fee. Prospective students were most interested in the Faculty of Architecture, followed by the Faculty of Business Administration, and the Faculty of Engineering.
Students that want to obtain practical knowledge should consider universities in the Rajamangala University of Technology system. Prior applying to each program, prospective students should consider the tuition costs, available scholarships, university activities, and employment rate after graduation. Furthermore, RMUTT boasts an 83% employment rate after graduation.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pinprathomrat asserted that there may be numerous factors that resulted in late applications this year, which include fewer high school graduates, partly due to current economic conditions, and other universities accepting more students, thus providing prospective students with more options.
“The education system has expanded to more local areas and offer programs that cater to people’s needs. Due to current economic conditions, students have chosen to study in local areas instead” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pinprathomrat.
