Additionally, sources of investment fund can also be obtained through OSMEP as a focal agency in coordinating the network systems of public and private sectors. OSMEP is expecting to boost SMEs to gain access to 3,700 million in revenue while Rajamagala University of Technology Thanyaburi is joining the network for 5t consecutive years to help expand distribution channels to Central region and Bangkok Metropolitan Region.
Mr. Weerapong Malai, Director of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion, revealed that OSMEP held annual meeting to announce OSMEP’s operating budget together with Project Progress report for fiscal 2020. By aligning projects with strategy, OSMEP can ensure their initiatives that they were able to accomplish their objectives. For 2021, they expected to focus on their three objectives to assist SMEs including increase of productivity, reduction of costs, and identification of traditional marketing and marketing channels in both domestic and international context for the SMEs. In addition, OSMEP as a focal agency would be coordinating with the network systems of public and private sectors to gain access to 3,700 million in revenue that could boost SMEs.
Director of OSMEP added that “SME Academy 365” platform is a 365-day online class that creates opportunity for entrepreneurs and stakeholders to learn entrepreneurial skills and acquire digital literacy for business to utilize internet platform to reach their end customers in online mode and accelerate their business growth. The service is accessible via Website or Application. Not only OSMEP is regarded as developer of SME knowledge, it is also a key policy maker on SMEs promotion and central agency to coordinate all working systems to propel the SMEs promotion work with the government agencies. Moreover, the organization provides support and assistance for the promotion of SMEs by offering the implementation of the 30 percent procurement policy of government contracts for registered small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Director of Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Mr, Niti Witthayawiroj as a co-host of the event said that being selected to play its essential role for helping SMEs for 5 consecutive years, RMUTT had been responsible for assisting of more than 1,500 entrepreneurs to successfully gained their knowledge in digital marketing strategy enabling them to display their products through diverse online platforms.
