Education Development toward Excellence

A crucial project term namely “Education Development toward Excellence” at present is playing an important role for Thailand universities that they have to play significantly on developing an educational quality assurance mechanism and system according to Education Act defining at the chapter no. 6. This 6th chapter mentions on educational quality assurance which Thailand universities have to establish mechanism and system of educational quality assurance under the Office of Higher Education Commission’s responsibility. The Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (Public Organization) is a key external educational quality assurance. The internal assurance is created to develop and improve within the area, and external assess is established in order to announce to publicity. Moreover, the external assess has clear criteria to certify and its certification can affect the universities’ administration. At the same time, both internal and external educational assurance system are more vigorous increasingly. Every university must develop their educational assurance systems to be compatible to the changes.

According to the global ranking, the preparation of the universities being leveled in the world class is a momentous issue for the universities. The preparation must starts from strategy planning in order to match with National Education under Educational Development Plan of the Ministry of Education and Office of Higher Education Commission’s educational plan.
