RMUTT partners with OSMEP to upgrade “Chataburi” entrepreneurs with Digital skills of SMEs
Assistance Director and Acting Deputy Director General of The Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP), Mr. Wachira Kaewkor revealed that OSMEP officially announced its partnership with Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) to launch a SME support program which is as a part of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise scheme, “MSME STEP UP” in the Budget 2022 entitled, “the 5th Digital Technology and Tools for online business”, with the aim of helping Chataburi entrepreneurs equip with digital knowledge skills. The event was held in New Travel Lodge Hotel, Mueang Chanthaburi District, Chantaburi province.
Presiding over the event was Mr. Supoj Phutikeatkajohn, Deputy Governor of Chanthaburi Province, along with Ms. Miss Nitivadee Somboon, Director of SME Service Network Coordination and Government Policy Promotion Department, OSMEP executives, and RMUTT executive officials. Mr. Wachira further added, “For the past three days of the activity, entrepreneurs who have attended the event managed to acquire in-depth information on SMEs support measures regarding Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise and government procurement (SME-GP), future trends and challenges for SMEs, and benefits of supporting SMEs. In addition, there are also special talks with entrepreneurs on a variety of practical business management topics including “Online Marketing Mix”, “How to make huge profits from Facebook, LINE, Google, and Tiktok”, “The Right Plan, and The Right Digital Marketing Channel for The Right Product”, “How to Make Yourself Famous on TikTok with Sales Tips and Tricks”, “Product Photography Tips and Process”, and “How to Create a Banner in Canva and CapCut Apps”. Discussion activities between entrepreneurs and business professionals on business assessment for SMEs were held under Covid 19 prevention and control measures.”
“Chantaburi is known throughout Thailand as one of the famous regions for producing a variety of goods and agricultural products as well as geographic areas with prominent tourism resources including foods, jewels, jewelries, etc. Right now, Chanaburi is moving forward to the right direction and we would like to show our appreciation towards collaborative partnerships between RMUTT and OSMEP who launch a SME support program to help Chataburi entrepreneurs equip with digital knowledge skills and tools from digital professionals. RMUTT is the spearhead on introducing methods and tools for entrepreneurship management and hopefully they will continue their mission on assisting entrepreneurs adjust and expand their business during the Covid-19 issues.
