In Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, RMUTT, Klong Hok, Rangsit Nakornnayok Road, Pathumthani Province, there is a Lotus Museum with comprising more than 200 lotus species, the biggest place of Thailand. RMUTT lotus museum was established under the loyal project of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, and, now it has opened as knowledge center where many people can learn and study about them.
Mostly, after seeing these lotuses, they will be taken by cameras by many visitors. Taking photo is one of many ways to keep the memory as long as forever. Therefore, RMUTT has summarily set the photo competition by using possible cameras both color film, color slide and digital with its definition at least 5 million pixel.
The rule of this competition is that firstly, the competitors are required to take photo of the lotus which is in RMUTT only and secondly, the photo submission is not later than July 30, 2010 because the final justice is set on August 2, 2010 and award day is set on August 6, 2010. Photo will be shown until August 8, 2010.
Taking photograph of Lotus can be mentioned both way of it is easy and difficult. National Artist Woranan Chatchawantipakorn said that practice is the good way to improve the personal ability. Any lotuses grown anywhere are free to be as the tools of practice. However, to make the lotus picture is more beautiful, the photographers are supposed to mange well on their component factors such as light and others. It may be mentioned that it is not as easy as expected.
Nevertheless, for him, taking photo of lotuses is happy thing because lotuses have never escape far away. They still stand at their points even the strong sunshine, heavy rain and so on. There is a mention about the lotuses, suggesting to study about them much and being careful taking their photo because lotuses have their own time bloom the flower, some lotuses bloom at day time and some of them bloom at night time.
