11/04/2025The Art Thesis Exhibition presents 43 significant pieces, cultivating quality artists from RMUTT to the heart of Bangkok
The Department of Visual Arts, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), opens an exhibition showcasing the artworks of experts, faculty members, and the art theses of fourth-year students at ASVN Art Gallery in the heart of Bangkok. Featuring 43 works, the exhibition emphasizes the commitment to nurturing quality talent ready to enter the contemporary art world.
The Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, RMUTT, presents the 34th Art Thesis Exhibition for fourth-year students of the Department of Visual Arts, from April 9th to 22nd, 2568 (2025), at ASVN Art Gallery (Ashwin Photography Studio area), Pom Prap Sattru Phai District, Bangkok. The opening ceremony is honored by Air Chief Marshal Jom Rungsawang, Privy Councillor, along with Colonel M.J. Nawaphansa Yugala and his wife. The exhibition features a total of 43 works, reflecting the identities, thoughts, and inspirations of the students during their crucial growth into professionalism.
Air Chief Marshal Jom Rungsawang, the presiding officer of the opening ceremony, said, “I am delighted to see the perspectives and creativity of the young students, and to be part of this event. Thanks to all the students for creating works that contribute to aesthetics and enrich society. The exhibition of these 43 significant works will enhance professionalism and clearly demonstrate the potential of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at RMUTT Thanyaburi.”
Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Wassakorn Khongthaworn, chairman of the Department of Visual Arts, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at RMUTT Thanyaburi, commented that the exhibition at ASVN Art Gallery, located in the heart of Bangkok, truly connects art with cultural context. Under the concept of Natural, Faith, and Reminiscent, collectively termed ‘NAFAREM’, this theme is not only the exhibition’s focus but also reflects the identity of each student through intricate techniques and artistic elements developed deeply through learning and experience throughout the curriculum.
Moreover, Asst. Prof. Yongyut Sakulchartree, a lecturer in the Art Education Department at RMUTT Thanyaburi, further explained that each piece of the fourth-year students’ thesis work is the result of continuous research, experimentation, and conceptual crystallization. These works embody knowledge, achievement, and contemporary experiences that blend harmoniously. It marks a significant step towards growing into a professional artist in the future and being ready for the professional world.
1. “External Differences” by Miss Chonlada Charoenjit
– Concept: Humans have distinct external appearances, including facial features, body shapes, hairstyles, and even attire and skin color. Everyone is unique and should not compare themselves to others, which can lead to insecurities within.
2. “Spirit of Life” by Mr. Nitis Handicraft
– Concept: This work is presented through forms depicting daily life struggles. Nature and living creatures fight for survival as an instinct. It showcases characteristics of living beings through abstract elements such as points, lines, and textures, symbolizing the boundless power of nature.
3. “Sweet Dream Moment” by Miss Kuljira Panya
– Concept: A narrative of love told through two characters, Sun and Moon. The definition of love encompasses care, warmth, and mutual support. The story is creatively constructed through imagery to fill in what is missing, as no one is perfect.
4. “First Day of the Year” by Miss Aditha Jatura
– Concept: January 1, 2025, marks the first day of the year, waking up early to see a beautiful landscape, serving as a source of inspiration. It captures memorable moments with family and the breathtaking scenery accompanied by the cold breeze, depicted through yarn.
5. “Restraint” by Mr. Sivakorn Jieo-chan
– Concept: Emotions, feelings, and internal states cannot be physically touched. The distorted representation of a human form symbolizes inner emotions, expressed through abstract sculpture.
These artworks are part of the 34th Graduation Art Exhibition, showcasing contemporary art by emerging artists, held from April 9-22, 2025, at ASVN Art Gallery on Nakharat Road, Pom Prap Sattru Phai District, Bangkok.
