20/12/2021Permanent Secretary is inviting the public to participate in the “MHESI Tribute in Memory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej” to commemorate the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on December 5, 2021.
M.D., Ph.D. Professor Sirirurg Songsivilai, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Thailand announced that “MHESI Tribute in Memory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej” Music Festival with more than 70 concerts had successfully been held across different provinces of Thailand on December 5th. Organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), the three concerts will take place from December 15th, 2021 to December 19th, 2021 for 15 days featuring student musical bands of institutions and agencies under MHESI. Joining with Thailand’s famous student musical bands from the participating universities include The College of Music, Mahidol University, Siam University, and Srinakharinwirot University, the first concert will be scheduled from December 5th to December 7th at Siam Paragon Park. The second concert hosted at Icon Siam River Park from December 8th to 15th, 2021 will be performed by Ramkhamhaeng University, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, Kasetsart University, Rangsit University, Silpakorn University. And finally, the last concert at December 13th to 19th, 2021 at Central World Square which will be performed by musical bands of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Siam University, Chitralada Technology Institute, CDTI, Chulalongkorn University, Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. After two successful consecutive weeks of musical performance including orchestras, Thai musical bands, and string instrument bands represented by 70 educational institutions, MHESI held one of the biggest musical festivals, “A Tribute in Memory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej” to commemorate the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and to bring happiness to Thai people.
Numerous government executives and members who participated during the concert include M.D., Ph.D. Professor Sirirurg Songsivilai, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Thailand who also handed bouquets of flower to the musical band representatives. Besides, Professor Supachai Pathumnakul, Ph.D., Vice Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Dr. Wiparat De-ong. Executive Director of National Research Council of Thailand and President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art also participated the event.
RMUTT Thai classical student band from Performing and Musical Arts Department, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts came to play the at the music festival honoring His Majesty on December 5, 2021, playing a total of 7 songs, such as a commemorative performance in honor of His Majesty the King. Maharaj Overture (Piphat ensemble mixed with string instruments) Song Khaek Khao Thao (string quartet duet) Song Tao Kin Phak Morning Glory Two-Two (Piphat ensemble mixed with string instruments), Thai Damnoen Doi song Khmer Bodhisattva Song (Special Thai band), and Ngueu Ram Ruek Song (hard wood Piphat band).
At the end of the concert of “MHESI Tribute in Memory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on December 5, 2021”, Permanent Secretary of MHESI delivered his New Year toast and sang a New Year eve songs with his executive members.
