Trade Collaboration to Push Student Innovations into the ASEAN Market

Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) joined Creative Power in announcing the potentials of Thai talents on ASEAN stage through a product launch of HEMan version The One, an intelligent electrical controller unit.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pinprathomrat, RMUTT President revealed after the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Creative Power Co., Ltd. that the company will provide the marketing and product development arms for the research studies conducted by RMUTT students and faculty members.

“This collaboration is a win-win situation for both parties. Not only will it help to create more options for consumers, but also enhance the country’s economy through investment and product development, under the brand HEMan (Home Electronic Manager),” he said.

The first product to be launched for HEMan is The ONE, or an intelligent electrical controller unit, which is sold at 8,000 baht per unit (excluding VAT). In terms of investment, Creative Power has built a factory on a 5-rai piece of land in Amata Nakhon Industrial Estate.

“We have started the process of marketing the products to consumers, after conducting initial market testing for a while. Consumers have received the product well. We are confident that the products under the HEMan brand can protect all electrical hazards both inside and outside a building. Very soon, we will roll out a product line that is compatible with OS Android,” said Thitisak Sakulkru, Creative Power’s Managing Director.

The three market segments that the company targets for its HEMan product lines include: 1) real estate (estate housing projects, condominiums, commercial buildings, contractors); 2) architects and engineers; 3) End-users. The company will introduce the products through various channels, including direct contact and home trade fairs.

In the future, the company aims to launch the brand in the ASEAN market, after the realization of the ASEAN Economic Community in January 2016.
