Free! Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, RMUTT, invites to join the seminar about Thai radio and television sector.

Dr. Vichai Payakkaso, the faculty dean of Faculty of Mass Communication Technology at RMUTT revealed that “radio and Television production has been divided into 3 main sections, production, control and consumers, which are the taking the big task in order to explore the news and other programs with high quality and efficiency for the consumers.   Meanwhile, producers need to understand perfectly which type and kind of the programs can be conveyed to consumers. These lead the producers would be able to produce the programs match the need and want of the targets with high quality and efficiency to community. At the same time, the control section needs to limit the ability of the programs or producers go a long with the Act of Radio and Television. However, the consumers need also to protect their right to select the news and program properly and correctly and they must be able to follow up the change of trend of radio and television in accordance of capitalism economy leading the present producers have produced the program in term of business much more that the term of ethics.”

Dr. Vichai also added that “there are groups of students who are as the cogs to help solve the problem and drive the radio and television moving forward to the good way. They have envisaged this severe problems and conduct “Hit the Thai Media, how to consume efficiently and correctly.” This seminar will convey the messages about the laws of radio and television, production process and consumers’ right protection including the knowledge exchange shared by between the experts and participants about the its standard of information presentation, regulation and current types. The invited experts are such as Mr. Kitti Sai Saad from Audiences and Listeners Council, Ms. Maneerat Kumjornkitjakarn from Office of Secretariat, National Telecommunication Commission of Thailand, Mr. Suthipong Thammawut of Khon Kon Khon (Seeking People) Program, TV Boorapa Company and Mr. Pumipat Thammapan, a producer from “TV Pool Live”.”
